Comparison
My Laura vs. working directly with creators
Finding creators in groups and through messages works. But it takes dozens of hours, and you also pay for videos that don't sell.
Updated
UGC is broken.
This is what a UGC campaign looks like today. Scroll to see time and costs add up.
- Week 1
Searching
You search Facebook groups and Instagram for creators. You message forty; twelve reply. All alongside your other work.
- Week 2
Negotiating
Nothing is standardised. A creator with 10,000 followers asks for €300; another with the same reach asks for €5,000. Each has a different licence and contract, and the email chain has 88 messages.
- Week 3
Samples and materials
Product requests arrive as phone screenshots; videos via Google Drive and WeTransfer. There is no single view of what has been approved.
- Week 4
Upfront payment
Ten videos at €150 each. You pay €1,500 before a single customer sees any of them.
- Week 6
Testing
Meta gives budget to two videos; hardly anyone sees the other eight. Ad reports differ from your store’s sales. Which video actually sold?
- Month 3
Start again
The winning video wears out and its licence expires. Before the season, you contact the same creators again and pay again.
We are creating a more transparent and fairer environment for everyone. Brands pay for results, creators earn from results, and both see the same figures.
A point-by-point comparison
Why discount codes aren't enough
Many brands track creators through discount codes. But the results are distorted in both directions.
They miss sales
missing salesA code captures only people who notice and use it at checkout. Other customers persuaded by the video aren't attributed to the creator.
They credit unrelated sales
extra salesCodes spread across discount sites, and the creator gets credit for purchases they didn't generate.
Video ID in the link
how we do itEvery video has its own ID in the ad link, and the store records it on the order even if the customer uses no code. Learn more in How it works.
When each approach makes sense
To be fair, direct collaboration has its place.
Directly with creators
A few website videos
You need videos for a product page or your own profile, rather than ads.
Smaller ad budget
You spend less than 10 000 € a month on Meta ads.
Two or three trusted creators
You have a few people who consistently work well for you and aren't looking for new ones.

Where can I find UGC creators in Slovakia?
Most often in Facebook groups for UGC creators, on Instagram and TikTok, on fixed-price video platforms or through agencies. My Laura provides creators whose videos have already made sales, without the search and negotiations.
Can I bring creators I already work with?
Yes. We'll move creators you've had a good experience with to revenue sharing and handle their contracts, licences and payouts.
Is working directly with a creator cheaper?
Usually yes for a single video. But once you include the time spent searching, negotiating, handling contracts and invoices, plus videos that never sell, it's often more expensive. Direct collaboration makes sense for a few videos for your website or organic profile.
How is ad licensing handled?
With direct collaboration, you negotiate the licence with each creator separately, often for 3 to 6 months, and renew it before the season. With My Laura, the online ad licence remains valid for as long as the video runs and you pay a share of sales.
